Meet The Designer
Satoko studied Design and Architecture in Japan and the United States, specializing in stage design for theatre and a lifelong fascination with the performing arts. In Japan, she spent years working alongside leading international fashion and beauty houses in interior design and marketing.
When her family relocated to Hong Kong, she rediscovered her passion for fashion as an editor for a British retailer, curating collections from the world's most luxurious maisons.
Today, many clients come to Satoko with reference photos of Japanese-designed tutus, a style known globally for precision, quality, and refined craftsmanship. It's a standard she was trained in, and one she builds into every custom piece.
The Vision Behind Coco Tutu Atelier

The atelier was named after the designer's daughter, Coco, by her ballet teacher, Ms. Venus Villa, a principal ballerina who has performed on some of the world's most prestigious stages. Her fluid movement, precise lines, and deep understanding of costume design continue to guide every piece the label creates.

Having worked closely with fashion and artistic icons worldwide, Satoko developed a gift for blending modern and traditional aesthetics with exquisite finishing. Each custom tutu is designed to highlight a dancer's beauty, alignment, and grace, reflecting the choreographer's vision.
